OVERVIEW

  The original Final Fantasy, this game was first released in Japan for the Famicon in 1987.  The game featured turn based roleplaying in a way that hadn't been seen before, and served as a foundation for games such as the Dragon Warrior series and forthcoming Final Fantasy titles to be released outside of Japan.  Classic is the most appropriate description.



STORYLINE

  The world is at a crossroads when the fiends of Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind begin to turn the world into their playground.  Only the prophesized light warriors can save the world with the aid of the orbs.



PROLOGUE

A great darness shrouded the world.
The wind died.
The sea raged.
The earth began to decay.
Only a prophecy kept hope alive in people's hearts.

 "When darkness veils the world, four warriors of light shall come."

 And after journeying far, four young warriors did at last appear.
 In the hands of each rested a mysterious crystal...
