To obtain legendary weapons in FFX, you must first have the cloudy and celestial
mirrors.
Cloudy & Celestial Mirrors
1.
Obtaining the Cloudy Mirror
To obtain the Cloudy Mirror, you must head to the hidden Remiem Temple. To get there, go to the
centre of the calm lands where the chocobo trainer is.
Tell him that you want to ride a chocobo and ride the chocobo up to the top cliff (where you first came in after the Yuna and Tidus
love scene) and go to the right as much as possible. You should see something yellow on the ground.
Press the X Button in front of it and you should get to the temple on the next screen. Talk to the chocobo
on the right hand side and race him down the track. If you win you will obtain
the Cloudy Mirror.
2. Obtaining the Celestial Mirror
Talk to the mother and son by the save sphere in the south. The mother will mention that he husband is supposed to meet her. Go to Macalania woods campsite and talk to the man on the right, who is her husband. Tell him his wife and son are and return to south
Macalania woods. Head up the mysterious glowing path near the save sphere (make sure to talk to the husband and the wife first to the max). At the intersection head
north until you see a boy. He will be in front of a large crystal. Talk to him and the
cloudy mirror will change into the celestial mirror.
Legendary Weapons
Caladbolg - Tidus To obtain this weapon you must race the chocobo trainer in the calm lands and win. After you win walk to the northwest area of the calm lands.
Items required to unlock Sun Crest - at Zanarkand dorm where you fought
Yunalesca Sun Sigil - Race the chocobo trainer finishing with the time 0:0.0.
Nirvana - Yuna Capture all 9 fiends at the calm lands and return to the monster arena owner. He will make a treasure chest appear with the weapon inside it.
Items required to unlock Moon Crest - Besaid Isle beach Moon Sigil
- Defeat all the aeons in Remiem temple
Masamune - Auron First you must get the rusty sword from the cavern of the stolen fayth. Take it to lord Mi'ihen at mushroom rock road.
Place the rusty sword in front of the statue and a glyph will appear. Touch it and you will find the masamune.
Items required to unlock Mars Crest - Mi'ihen Highroad - old road south Mars sigil
- Capture 10 monsters of 10 different species in 10 different areas
World Champion - Wakka Talk to the bartender in luca cafe. If she doesn't give it to you play
a little blitzball (and win!) and come back.
Items required to unlock Jupiter Crest - Inside the Auroch's locker room in
Luca Jupiter Sigil - prize in the blitzball league match
Spirit Lance - Kimahri You must activate three Quactar stones in thunder plains. Press the square button in front of the stones. After the spirit of quactar comes out,
follow it and press square again for a bolt of lightning to come out and reveal a
treasure chest.
Items required to unlock Saturn Crest - Mt. Gagazet - where you
fought Seymour Saturn Sigil - Capture all blue butterflies not touching red ones in
Macalania woods
Onion Knight - Lulu Go back to Baaj Temple and go underwater. Fight Geosgaeno and afterwards dive underwater and open the chest.
Items required to unlock Venus Crest - Farplane Venus
Sigil - Evade lightning 200 times at thunder plains
Godhand - Rikku Put the password GODHAND in the airship to open up a secret location at mushroom rock road, then move north to the celestial mirror image in the rock and the weapon will be
there.
Items required to unlock Mercury Crest - Sand whirlpool - Sanubia desert Mercury Sigil
- Complete village of quactars mini game and find chest in sandstorm part of the
desert.
