The location of NPC’s in each area will remain constant for the most part.
There are exceptions however. Whenever a major storyline event takes place, such
as the Sphere Break Tournament in Luca during Chapter 3, some NPC’s will have
moved. Any changes that come about will be noted in the following listings.
Also, in Chapter 4 the only area you’ll be able to approach NPC’s for both
quests is in the Moonflow. The best catch-phrase to use to hook them in will
remain constant, so that will be one less thing to worry about.
•NPC locations in Besaid•
There are a total of 6 NPC’s that you can approach for the Publicity side-quest
in Besaid. Three of the six of them are female, so you can approach them for the
Matchmaking side-quest as well.
• The man inside the first tent on the right as you enter the village. Select
the 1st option in the Publicity menu to get the best response
• The woman standing outside the first tent on the right as you enter the
village. During Chapter 3 this woman will be inside the first tent on the right.
Select the 2nd option in the Publicity menu and the 3rd option in the
Matchmaking menu to get the best responses.
• The girl walking her dog around the village. Select the 4th options in both
the Publicity and Matchmaking menus to get the best responses.
• The woman behind the counter in the shop. Select the 5th option in the
Publicity menu and the 3rd option in the Matchmaking menu to get the best
responses.
• Kids running around the Temple of the Fayth. Talk to the boy. If all you see
is the girl standing at the entrance to the temple, the boy will be inside the
temple. Select the 3rd option in the Publicity menu to get the best response.
• Keepa, the goalie of the Besaid Aurochs (the big guy). For most of the game
you can find him in the second tent on the left. In Chapter 5 he’ll be hanging
out at the beach on the other side of the island. Select the 1st option in the
Publicity menu to get the best response..
•NPC locations in Kilika•
There are a total of 7 NPC’s that you can approach for the Publicity side-quest
in Kilika. Two of them are female, so you can approach them for the Matchmaking
side-quest as well. Be aware that you won’t be able to enter Kilika during
Chapter 2.
First area (where save point is located)
• A man and a woman standing together. During Chapter 1 they will be standing at
the southwestern section of the first area, and only the man will be
approachable. During Chapters 3 and 5 they will be in the northeastern section,
and you can approach both of them. Select the 5th option in the Publicity menu
for both the man and the woman and the 1st option in the Matchmaking menu for
the best responses.
• A man wearing a blue shirt with yellow sleeves standing directly east of the
save point. You’ll have to cross the bridge to the other side to get to him.
Select the 4th option in the Publicity menu for the best response.
Second area (near the entrance to Kilika Woods)
• A woman in a blue dress. During Chapters 1 and 3 she’ll be standing next to a
guy under the stairs of the bridge. In Chapter 5 she’ll be standing on the
bridge. Select the 2nd option in the Publicity menu and the 3rd option in the
Matchmaking menu for the best responses.
• The shirtless man standing outside of the hut next to Dona’s house. Select the
5th option in the Publicity menu for the best response.
• The man in the green shirt. In Chapter 1 he’ll be standing in the southwest
section. In Chapter 3 he’ll be standing with a group of people in the southwest
section. In Chapter 5 he’ll be holding a balloon and standing near the gate to
Kilika Woods. Select the 4th option in the Publicity menu for the best response.
• The man in the blue shirt walking around. In Chapter 5 he’ll be holding a
balloon. Select the 5th option in the Publicity menu for the best response.
•NPC locations in Luca•
The number of NPC’s available in Luca for both side-quests will vary, depending
on which Chapter you’re on. Some of their locations are different during Chapter
3 due to all the activity during the Sphere Break tournament. During Chapter 3
some different NPC’s will show up in the third area that won’t be around in
other chapters, and the NPC’s in the docks aren’t available.
First area (near save point and entrance to Mi’ihen Highroad)
• Woman sitting by herself on a bench wearing a yellow dress. During Chapter 3
she’ll be standing on the bridge next to a woman wearing pink. Select the 3rd
option in the Publicity menu and the 2nd option in the Matchmaking menu for the
best responses.
• Woman sitting next to a man on a bench wearing pink. She’ll be standing on the
bridge next to the woman wearing the yellow dress during Chapter 3. Select the
5th option in the Publicity menu and the 3rd option in the Matchmaking menu for
the best responses.
Second area (circular area with crystal monument in the middle)
• The little boy standing southeast of the crystal monument. During Chapter 3
he’ll be running around the third area and waving his hands. During Chapter 5
he’ll be standing near the counter at the stadium entrance in the fourth area
holding a blitzball. Select the 4th option in the Publicity menu for the best
response.
• The man wearing the brown robe sitting on the bench to the left of the
monument. This NPC is nowhere to be found during Chapter 3. Select the 5th
option in the Publicity menu for the best response.
Third area (upside-down T-shaped intersection with fountain in center)
Take note, these NPC’s only show up during Chapter 3
• Man in white hat with his back to the screen. Select the 1st option in the
Publicity menu for the best response.
• The woman in the orange skirt standing in a group with her back to the screen.
Select the 4th option in the Publicity menu and the 2nd option in the
Matchmaking menu for the best responses.
• Man in yellow shirt walking randomly around area. If you don’t see him right
away, just stand in one spot and he’ll arrive eventually. Select the 5th option
in the Publicity menu for the best response.
Fourth area (near entrance to Blitzball Stadium)
• Woman sitting on bench next to stadium entrance. This NPC is only available
during Chapters 1, 2 and 3. Select the 2nd options in both the Publicity and
Matchmaking menus for the best responses.
• Man wearing a green outfit with a green bandanna wandering around. If he’s not
around, just stand in one spot and he’ll arrive eventually. This NPC is only
available during Chapters 1 and 2. Select the 3rd option from the Publicity menu
for the best response.
• Man in yellow shirt walking randomly around area. This NPC only shows up
during Chapter 3. Select the 3rd option from the Publicity menu for the best
response.
Fifth area (docks)
• Woman in white walking around the boxes located one screen west from the
Stadium entrance. Select the 2nd options in both the Publicity and Matchmaking
menus for the best responses. This NPC is only available during Chapter 5.
• Woman walking in from the right exit two screens west from the stadium
entrance. Select the 4th option from the Publicity menu and the 2nd option from
the Matchmaking menu for the best responses.
• Man in white clothes walking around the northern area 2 screens west from the
stadium entrance. Select the 1st option from the Publicity menu for the best
response.
•NPC locations on the Mi’ihen Highroad•
There are 11 NPC’s available here, including 6 women for Matchmaking. The NPC
locations at the Mi’ihen Highroad will remain constant, but to get all of them
in every chapter you have to be careful during Chapters 2 and 3. In Chapter 2,
you won’t be able to access certain areas of the Highroad after completing the
"Catch the Chocobo" optional mission. In Chapter 3, the little boy NPC by the
entrance to Mushroom Rock Road will only be available during the "Destroy All
Machina" mission. After that he’s gone until Chapter 5.
First area (from Luca entrance)
• Two women standing next to the statue of Lord Mi’ihen. For the woman in the
blue dress, select the 1st options from both the Publicity and Matchmaking menus
for the best response. For the woman with her back facing the screen, select the
2nd option from the Publicity menu and the 5th option from the Matchmaking menu
for the best responses.
• Shirtless man standing on right of road. Select the 3rd option from the
Publicity menu for the best response.
Second & third areas
• The man sitting near the cliff across from the Travel Agency. Select the 1st
option from the Publicity menu for the best response.
• The man and woman sitting at the table inside the Travel Agency. For the man
on the right select the 3rd option from the Publicity menu for the best
response. For the woman on the left, select the 2nd option from the Publicity
menu and the 4th option from the Matchmaking menu for the best responses.
Fifth, sixth & seventh areas (near the bridges)
• The woman in yellow standing on the bridge. Select the 4th option from the
Publicity menu and the 1st option from the Matchmaking menu for the best
responses.
Eighth area (near the entrance to Mushroom Rock Road)
• The little boy standing next to the Mushroom Rock entrance. Select the 5th
option from the Publicity menu for the best response.
Ninth area (path)
• The man in the purple shirt on the left. Select the 2nd option from the
Publicity menu for the best response.
Tenth area (Save point in open area)
• The woman in the blitzball outfit standing southwest of the save point. Select
the 4th option from the Publicity menu and the 1st option from the Matchmaking
menu for the best responses.
Eleventh area (The dead end)
• The two men sitting down on the ground. For the guy on the upper part of the
screen, select the 1st option from the Publicity menu, and for the other guy
select the 3rd option from the Publicity menu for the best response.
•NPC locations at Djose Temple•
There are 8 NPC’s available to make your sales pitches to around the area of
Djose Temple. Some of them will have moved around a bit during Chapter 5, but
they’ll still be rather easy to find, since they remain in the same areas. Be
aware, however, that none of them will be around during Chapter 3.
First area (just outside of Djose Temple)
• The woman in the pale yellow blouse. During Chapters 1 and 2 she’ll be right
beside the Save Sphere, and during Chapter 5 she will be next to the entrance of
the shop. Select the 3rd option from the Publicity menu and the 4th option from
the Matchmaking menu for the best responses.
• The Al Bhed woman just outside of the shop on the right. Select the 1st option
from the Publicity menu and the 5th option from the Matchmaking menu for the
best responses.
• The man speaking with the older man to the left of the temple entrance. During
Chapter 5 he will be sitting on the ground just outside of the shop. Select the
2nd option from the Publicity menu for the best response.
Second area (bridges leading to Djose Temple)
• The Al Bhed woman walking up and down along both bridges. During Chapter 5 she
will be standing at the entrance to the Djose Highroad. Select the 3rd option
from the Publicity menu and the 5th option from the Matchmaking menu for the
best responses.
• The man in the green sleeveless shirt. During Chapter 5 he will be walking in
a circle. Select the 5th option from the Publicity menu for the best response.
• The man in the yellow shirt. Select the 4th option from the Publicity menu for
the best response.
• The man wearing an orange shirt with green sleeves. Select the 1st option from
the Publicity menu for the best response.
• The woman wearing a purple dress. Select the 3rd option from the Publicity

•NPC locations at the Moonflow•
There are 5 NPC’s to make your sales pitches to at the Moonflow area. Their
locations remain constant, and these are the only NPC’s you’ll be able to pitch
to in Chapter 4, during the "Where's Tobli?" mission.
Road to Moonflow (near Djose Highroad)
• The Al Bhed woman standing to the left. Select the 3rd option from the
Publicity menu and the 1st option from the Matchmaking menu for the best
responses.
Moonflow – South Wharf
• The Al Bhed kid walking around the Save Sphere (looks vaguely like Shinra).
Select the 5th option from the Publicity menu for the best response.
• The little boy in red near the stairs leading to the Shoopuf. Select the 5th
option from the Publicity menu for the best response.
Moonflow – North Wharf
• The woman standing near the bottom of the screen. Select the 5th option from
the Publicity menu and the 4th option from the Matchmaking menu for the best
responses.
Road to Moonflow (near entrance to Guadosalam)
• The elderly woman near the Guadosalam entrance. Select the 1st option from the
Publicity menu and the 5th option from the Matchmaking menu for the best
responses.
•NPC locations in Guadosalam•
There are 5 NPC’s that you can pester for the Publicity side-quest in Guadosalam.
There aren’t any females looking to get married, so there will be no Matchmaking
here. With one exception, all of these locations will remain the same throughout
the game. Be aware, however, that there are no NPC’s available during Chapter 2.
• The armored child sitting east of the Save Sphere. During Chapter 5 they will
be standing next to a Hypello outside of the easternmost house in Guadosalam.

• The innkeeper at the inn to the right of Guadosalam’s entrance. Select the 2nd
option from the Publicity menu for the best response.
• The Hypello standing outside of the easternmost house in Guadosalam. Select
the 3rd option from the Publicity menu for the best response.
• The big guy standing on the left in the items/accessory shop in the middle of
Guadosalam. Select the 4th option from the Publicity menu for the best response.
• The shopkeeper in the items/accessory shop in the middle of Guadosalam. Select
the 2nd option from the Publicity menu for the best response.
•NPC locations in Macalania Woods•
There are only two NPC’s available for the Publicity side-quest in Macalania
Woods, and neither of them are women looking for a husband. Their locations
remain consistent up until Chapter 3. There aren’t any NPC’s around by Chapter
5.
• The Guado standing directly east of the Save Sphere in the southern section of
the woods. Select the 1st option from the Publicity menu for the best response..
From the Save Sphere in the southern section of the woods, go east two screens
and north one screen. An older Guado will be there. Select the 4th option from
the Publicity menu for the best response.
